Why Green Ohio is an awesome place to live

With plenty of trees, parks, lawns, and occasional fields, the City of Green certainly deserves it’s name — at least during the warmer months.

Largely rural in nature and nestled between Akron and Canton, Ohio, Green is not only quaint and homey, but very convenient to everything you need — work, shopping, education, healthcare, parks, etc.

It’s the people that make Green special. We are a community that works together, plays together, and takes pride in our past, who we are today, and what our community will become.”

Mayor Gerard Neugebauer

A major Interstate highway runs right down the middle of Green, making it very quick to get anywhere you need to go. There’s also a regional airport within it’s boundaries, and an international airport less than an hour away.

New buildings seem to be going up all the time, along with frequent road improvements. You can feel the energy, pride and optimism everywhere you look making Green a pretty cool place to live.

I love Green! It’s such a quaint town with a big city attitude! It’s the suburban dream! It’s really becoming a real city! New neighborhoods, restaurants, stores, dealerships, roads, etc. It’s amazing for any family or single person

A bit of history and trivia — Green Township was first created in 1809, but didn’t become a city until 1992. This was long after the United States Postal Service had established postal routes in the area which has resulted in the fact that no one in Green has a Green, Ohio mailing address. Most have Uniontown, North Canton, or Akron addresses. This has been a bit of a sore spot for local residents who would prefer to have their own identity.

Neverthess, people are proud to call Green their home. It is considered one of the best places to live in the entire region, boasting a high quality environment for living, working, and raising a family.

We offer a diverse housing market, quality city services, and a community with a rural feel, yet within close proximity to many “big city” amenities.
